Along with the new smartwatches announced at CES 2015, Garmin has also announced the Vívofit 2 activity tracker. Along with the new activity tracker, a line of interchangeable accessory bands are also announced. Vívofit 2’s new features help users develop lifelong healthy habits. In addition to the visual move bar on its always-on display, Vívofit 2 also features audible alerts that remind users when it’s time to get up and move.
An activity timer allows users to track and analyze individual workouts, and a newly added backlight provides better visibility in the dark.
Vívofit 2 automatically syncs with paired mobile devices through the Garmin Connect Mobileapp, so users can see a complete picture of daily activities. Users can track sleep patterns and trends, join online challenges and earn virtual badges for extra motivation.
It features one-year battery life and is water-resistant to 50 meters, so users rarely ever have to take it off.
Vívofit 2 will be available in black, white, navy and pink. It will begin shipping in Q1 and will have a suggested retail price of $129.99 and $169.99 (black or white heart rate monitor bundle). Three-pack colored accessory bands will be available in neutral (black, slate and white), downtown (burgundy, slate and navy), active (red, blue and green), serenity (mint, cloud, lilac), and energy (canary, pink and violet) for a suggested retail price of $24.99.
